Game Changing Technology
Many traditional methods of cooking are harmful to the integrity of the product. Oil, water, steam and hot air all compromise the taste, texture, color and most important, the nutritional value of the product. In 2016, CTC was granted its first set of patents on its oven design for harnessing microwave energy at 915 Megahertz to cook, pasteurize or sterilize meats, fruits and ® vegetables. Cibus Wave is a continuous-feed system that can be scaled to support any size food processing plant.

The final product is “clean food” as no harmful agents are used in the cooking process; the cooked product contains the nutritional value of its raw counterpart; and no chemicals, preservatives, or additives were included. The product moves through the conveyor while inside a protective container insulating it from contact with the oven. Fresh food packers can pasteurize or sterilize without cooking to eliminate pathogens and obtain longer shelf life.
